What’s the difference between sheer curtains and drapery?
Sheers are lightweight, light-filtering panels meant to soften and diffuse daylight, while drapery is heavier, custom-lined, and built for privacy, insulation, and a more tailored look. Many homes use both — sheers layered behind drapery.
Do sheer curtains provide privacy at night?
On their own, sheers give daytime privacy but less at night once interior lights are on. For evening privacy we recommend layering them with drapery, a roller shade, or zebra blinds.
